New Year Means it's Almost Tax Time

It's a new year, and of course that means it will soon be tax time.

I already got my tax booklets in the mail. Much to my surprise, I actually received them before the end of the year (2008). So I just need to wait for my bank statements, and I'll be ready to do my taxes.

My employer offers online W-2 statements as early as Jan. 12, so I'm hoping to do my taxes early this year. I always wait until the last minute to do them, but this year I'm going to start early.
